Config Explained

  • Current vanilla player level is 100 + ascension.
  • Current vanilla wild dino level is 150.
    • A perfect tame will add 74 levels, making it level 224 after taming.
    • Dinos can now level 71 times after taming.
    • A perfect tame with max levels will be 295 (this does not include breeding).

  • One in-game day is two real life hours.
    • Daytime is 100 min long.
    • Nighttime is 20 min short.

  • Player water drain is halved.
  • Player food drain is halved. Cause who eats 30 steaks an hour?

  • Resources somewhat respawn slower, so when you first clear an area, it stays empty for a while. Good for when you get lost in the jungle…
  • Resources respawn closer to foundation.
    • So you can build that hidden base in the swamp!

  • Increased Player Stats:
    • Oxygen up 50 per point.
    • Food up 50 per point.
    • Water up 50 per point.
    • Weight up 50 kg per point.
    • Fortitude is up 5 per point.
    • Speed is up 2% per point.

  • Increased Dino Stats:
    • Weight up 5x per point (percentage-based).
    • Speed up 2.5% per point.

  • You can learn all engrams, but you will not receive additional engram points until you reach level 100.
    • Scorched Earth and Aberration engrams are auto-unlocked atĀ survivor lvl 78.
    • Tekgrams are automatically unlocked when you reach survivor lvl 100. This way you need not battle the bosses endlessly to unlock tekgrams, you can simply farm the easiest boss for elements.

  • You can respawn immediately after getting killed in a PvP battle (disabled during weekends).

  • EnableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes is enabled (disables building in specific resource-rich areas). This prevents building on mountains (like the volcano). This is only enabled on The Island, not Scorched Earth, Ragnarok or Aberration.

  • Automatically checks for an update every 2 hours.
    • Only starts update process if there is an update available.
    • Also updates mods automatically.
    • 15 min warning given before update starts.

  • Each night (05:00 CET) the server is stopped and all ARK-files are uploaded to Google Drive in case of emergency.

  • World map / game is saved every 30 minutes.

  • To avoid harvesting-lag on bronto and stego, HarvestAmountMultiplier is set back to it’s vanilla setting 1x. Instead, individual items have 10x harvesting, while most berries have 1x. This should prevent some lag.

  • Structure Decay is enabled. This means that if you do not log in to the server and visit your bases, they will eventually decay and disappear automatically (vanilla decay timer in brackets)
    • 8 days for thatch [4]
    • 16 days for wood [8]
    • 24 days for stone [12]
    • 32 days for metal [16]
    • 70 days for tekĀ [35]
    • Structures such as boxes, smithy, etc, are considered metal when decaying.
    • Lone unsnapped foundations/pillars decay at 5x speed.

  • Bosses have their HP and DMG reduced by 50%, to make it possible for solo players to also get TEK tier.

  • You receive 3x elements for defeating each boss.

  • ForceAllowCaveFlyers is enabled, allowing flyers to fly inside caves.

  • Loot quality in beacon supply drops and when fishing is 2x. Yields more valuable loot and more often ascendant blueprints! This should also apply to deep sea/sand/cave loot crates.

  • To make soloplay easier, you can use mindwipes as often was you want!

  • Structure collision is disabled so that structures can clip into the terrain, or into other structures. Makes it easier to make a nice looking base!

  • Cost of crafting wooden rafts is highly increased to avoid players abusing the XP gained from crafting and dumping rafts.

  • That fucking insane fog is disabled via server setting! Hopefully it works on every maps…

  • Silencer hides the name of the player who has killed you from the kill message and tribe log. No idea why I enabled this…

  • Supply crates (beacon) drop at random places.

  • All mod-engrams (modgrams?) except Builder’s Helmet is located at survivor level 78. Simply for sorting reasons!
